As an independent podcaster, you’ve got a lot of responsibilities: researching, scripting, scheduling guests, engaging with listeners and, you know, actually RECORDING your episodes.

With Crackpot Podcast Production, editing doesn’t have to be one of them.

You send your raw audio files and I do the rest. Sound good? Let’s talk so we can figure out how I can best help you.

About Me

My name is Mike Crockett and I live in Central Massachusetts with my wife and two young children. I’ve been listening to podcasts just about as long as they’ve been a thing. As a hobby, I started producing my own podcast (The Wrestling Podcast About Nothing) in the spring of 2016. My background was in graphic design, but I had taught myself video editing for outside projects – so audio editing was a different but not-all-that-unfamiliar animal. In the fall of 2017, I began taking on jobs editing for those who needed to focus their time on other aspects of their podcasts. I discontinued my own show in 2020 so I could focus on helping others with theirs. I can do that for you.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Crackpot Podcasts. My podcast is about quality coffee and human relationships in the industry. Mike has amplified my work by making every edit a quality edit. He has developed a relationship with me which helps us work more efficiently and collaboratively to share the stories of the community. Mike Crockett is not only a great audio engineer, but an experienced podcast leader who fully leverages his experience to better my product.”

Austen Brower, Host of Drip: A DC Coffee Podcast

“I’ve been using Crackpot Podcasts since the very beginning of my podcast and it has been an excellent working relationship. Efficient, quick and professional! Not only brings the quality of each episode up with editing, but very helpful with creative suggestions and always available for input and to answer questions about the process. I can honestly say my podcast would suffer tremendously without Mike Crockett! I’d give his work 4 outta 4 Spectros! Your podcast will only benefit by working with him.”

Matt Spectro, Host of matt spectro thru the multiverse podcast

“Mike is an absolute delight to work with. He is incredibly professional and really knows what he is doing in the podcast editing world. Mike is very open to notes and works on a very flexible schedule. My company has been working with Mike for over a year now and no matter what we throw his way, be it simple dialogue, or an incredibly high concept sound effect heavy production, the work gets done and gets done better than we could have ever hoped for.”
